Summary

“Social Entrepreneurship Seeds” deploys a complementary approach as compared with existing practices in light of the methodology and the scope of cooperation. In the phase of designing the present proposals, partner organisations jointly deployed a coordinated research aimed at arriving at an assessment of the existing landscape of European projects and initiatives focusing specifically on the development of Social Entrepreneurship, related skills and useful instruments as a pathway to employability for low-qualified and low-skilled adult learners. In accordance to their areas of concern and expertise in working with adult learners, partner organisations had decided to focus specifically on the entrepreneurial empowerment of low-qualified and low-skilled adult learners, representing a major focus in light of the experience matured by all partners in working with them.

Objectives

“Social Entrepreneurship Seeds” pursues the following specific objectives: – Contrasting adult unemployment through developing Social Entrepreneurship potential and related soft/transversal skills in low-skilled or low-qualified adults through Urban Needs’ Analysis, Storytelling, ICT and Intercultural Communication. – Researching and comparing existing European good practices of Social Entrepreneurship education of adult learners through Urban Needs’ Analysis, Storytelling, Marketing and Intercultural Communication. – Producing state-of-the-art Reports outlining the existing landscape of European good practices. – Elaboration of a set of Toolkits and of a comprehensive Format representing a useful practical reference for NGO and stakeholders’ operators and entities interested in fostering entrepreneurial development of adult learners. – Developing a network among organisations experienced in the field of entrepreneurial empowerment of low-skilled and low-qualified adult learners.

Implementation

A1: Exchange and research of Good Practices in Social Entrepreneurship education of adult learners through Urban Needs’ Analysis, Storytelling, ICT and Intercultural Communication in the partner organisations and stakeholder sector in each partner country and at the European level. Production of state-of-the-art Reports. A2: Development of 4 Toolkits – Partners processed the findings of the research into educational Toolkits to be implemented in the 3 project Blended mobilities. A3: Implementation of Blended Mobilities for Adult Learners. The Toolkits elaborated in A2 were proposed to 30 low-skilled and low-qualified adult learners from all partner countries in 3 Blended mobilities: C1 in Lithuania (Month 7), C2 in Poland (Month 12), C3 in Bulgaria (Month 16). A4: Development of Products The Consortium produced an “Adult Social Entrepreneurship” Format through processing the results of the learning process (Reports and participants’ Questionnaires). A5: Each partner organised a National Dissemination Conference in its own country with the participation of the national adult learners involved alongside national Adult education centres, stakeholders, etc.

Results

R1: Sharing and collection of European good practices and partners’ successful models of entrepreneurial education of adult low-qualified and low-skilled learners through Urban Needs’ Analysis, Storytelling, ICT and Intercultural Communication. R2: Providing low-skilled and low-qualified adults with concrete instruments and skills of socially oriented entrepreneurial engagement, functional to the development and achievement of their own ideas of Social Entrepreneurship endeavours. This result were achieved through the implementation of 3 blended adult learners mobilities delivered through NFE methods: 1- Blended Mobility of Adult learners in Lithuania, focusing on Urban Needs’ Analysis; 2- Blended Mobility of Adult learners in Poland, dealing with Storytelling and Intercultural Communication; 3- Blended Mobility of Adult learners in Bulgaria, focusing on ICT. R3: Creation of products. This result were be achieved through the following sub-deliveries: 1- “Adult Social Entrepreneurship” Format. 2 – “Social Entrepreneurship Seeds” Website, R4: National Dissemination Events. 4 Dissemination Events were implemented (1 per partner country) in the final stages of the project.
